Presentation
Summary
The presentation will elaborate on the current rules of Gasketed Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger selection under ASHRAE 90.1 and ANSI/AHRI Standard 400. We'll start by describing the basic design principles of a Gasketed Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger and their selection as ASHRAE 90.1 Waterside Economizer in an HVAC application. We'll then discuss the AHRI Liquid to Liquid Certification Program, which Xylem Corporation is a member of, and how it applies to selecting Gasketed Plate & Frame Heat Exchangers. The AHRI "Certify-All" provision will be defined and reviewed with a focus on the importance of compliance. Finally, examples will be provided on how to specify the Gasketed Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger in consideration of AHRI in a specification
