Greg Hamm, P.E. is the Vice President of Operations at Southland Industries’ Northern California division. Alongside his engineering and construction counterparts, Greg’s current focus is on developing collaborative, multi-disciplinary project teams to provide preconstruction input on complex and challenging projects to support the efficacy of the construction process and ultimately add value to the clients. He specializes in design-build and design-assist deliveries on large-scale campus development projects, such as Google’s Bay View campus where he and his team provided system selection, budgetary, constructability, prefabrication, and modularization input. Greg is a Licensed Professional Engineer, holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from CalPoly San Luis Obispo, and has served his full career with Southland since joining 2007.

Mark Williams is the Vice President of Field Operations for Southland Industries’ Northern California division. He began his career in 1978 as a sheet metal apprentice. During his 40-year history with Southland, Mark has been celebrated as a notable and transformational leader in his many roles as journeyman, foreman, general foreman, and construction manager. His team have publicly commended his dedication, integrity, and open-door policy as leadership traits that support, yet challenge them. He embraces a "none of us are as smart as all of us" philosophy, meaning that teamwork and collaboration are far greater than the power of just one individual. From expanding his team to nurturing leadership qualities in others, Mark’s commitment to his role and dedication to Southland's success have served as a true testament to his character and representation of their core values. 

Attendees will  get a behind-the-scenes look at how the company uses smart design and prefabrication to make construction easier. It covers their process for building sheet metal and piping systems, showing how they cut down on field work by getting components ready ahead of time. You’ll also get a tour of their shop to see the facility, check out the tools they use, and learn how they pull it all together to keep projects moving quickly and accurately.
