Below are the key details on the event -

  • We have a great venue this year for the ASHRAE product show, it will be at the Melody SF, a church on Broadway. It’s quite an upgrade from previous years and we’re hoping to draw a big crowd again
  • Event will be held from 3:00-7:00PM. Afterwards, we will keep the party going with the first drink on GGASHRAE at "Otherwise Brewing" located at 1402 Grant Ave San Francisco, CA 94133
  • Vendors will arrive as early as 2:30 PM to begin setting up their booth before the technical presentations.
  • Technical Presentations will start at 4:00 PM
  • Venue: The Melody of San Francisco - 906 Broadway San Francisco, CA 94133
  • Food/Drinks (non-alcoholic at the venue) will be available!
  • Guests attend for free, Vendors will be charged $1,000 per table. If a vendor purchases a second table, it will be $500 (2 Table Limit). There is also the option to purchase a large Equipment Demo Booth which includes a 6'x2' Table and space for a 55"x48" Equipment Demo Footprint - Can be fans, boiler, tank, VFD, etc. Feel free to reach out to John Plecnik about your prospective demo before bringing it to the event.

Technical Presentations

Presentation Summary Speaker

An overview of wildfire smoke impacts on indoor air quality and practical mitigation strategies for design and facility engineers. It will highlight recommendations from ASHRAE Guideline 44, including filtration upgrades and system operation adjustments to reduce occupant exposure to contaminants. 

Jose Bocanegra

With a decade of experience in the HVAC industry and an academic background in scientific research, Jose brings a unique combination of skills as a sales expert, problem solver, and product manager. He specializes in driving growth and managing sales for high-volume low-speed (HVLS) fans and indoor air quality (IAQ) products. He is also an HVAC equipment sales engineer focused on customer satisfaction, comfort, safety, resilience, and sustainability. Throughout his career, Jose has built valuable relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and clients; always striving to enhance customer experience and support business development.

Effective January 1, 2026, the California Energy Commission’s Title 24 (Part 6) Joint Appendix 18 (JA18) requires validation of specific HVAC control sequences to ensure minimum energy performance.  This presentation provides an overview of what’s new with JA18, why it was introduced, and how it impacts the design, specification, and implementation of building automation and control systems.

Conrad Carino

Conrad Carino is a Solutions Consultant with Automated Logic supporting the West Coast. His primary focus is partnering with the consulting engineering community, providing technical expertise and industry thought leadership in building automation and controls. By translating engineering requirements into practical control strategies, Conrad helps develop control plans and specifications that improve system design, reduce risk, and minimize issues during construction and commissioning.
Conrad brings more than 25 years of experience planning, developing, managing, commissioning, and implementing energy management and building automation projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University, New York, and most recently served as Engineering Manager for multiple controls contractors in the Los Angeles area.

Important Information for the Vendors:

  • Vendors can bring demo equipment with a larger booth space for $1,500.00, see mentioning above for demo rules
    • Demo Dimensions must be 55” in width x 72” in height x 48" in depth max - Please contact John Plecnik if you are interested in the upgraded demo space
    • Equipment can be brought through the front door with steps OR rolled up the side ramp which measures 46" in width, see below pictures
    • No water nor power to be added/provided
    • No shipping/receiving services onsite
    • Must bring a protective blanket to prevent damage to the flooring
  • All raised funds are donated to Research Promotion - https://www.ashrae.org/technical-resources/research/ashrae-rp
  • Capping the event at 40 tables this year. The space is a former church with a large amount of space
  • If you are a vendor who supplies Mechanical and/or Plumbing Equipment, this is the perfect event for you!
  • We see tons of Mechanical/Plumbing Engineers & Contractors, Building Owners, and Students attend each year. 
  • Each vendor registration will support up to (2) individuals from the company to present at their respective table
  • Each table will be 6' x 2' in dimensions. Feel free to place products, brochures, trifolds, etc. on the table. You will also have (2) chairs and can include product banners behind the chairs/table
  • Once signed up, your Company Logo will be displayed on the event website. Please upload file to the following link below
  • NO POWER SUPPLIED
  • No assigned seating. First-Come-First-Served! Coordinate with the other vendors you would like to sit next to, ahead of time
  • Please sign up for the raffle at the drive link shown below. Vendors will be responsible for purchasing and bringing the prize to the show. Some suggestions include the Apple Watch, AirPods, Wine, Product SWAG, Yeti Cooler, VR Headset
