| Presentation Summary |
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming how we design, operate, and experience buildings. Yet while the term AI is everywhere, few truly understand what it means or how it works, and that gap is becoming a serious risk in a future where intelligent systems will define competitive advantage. This session moves past the buzzwords to uncover the real mechanics behind AI and why foundational understanding is essential for anyone involved in the built environment. We will explore how AI is already reshaping design, engineering, and operations through technologies like predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and digital twin integration. Along the way, we will address real world challenges including data privacy, ethical concerns, integration complexity, and workforce adaptation. With buildings evolving into dynamic data driven ecosystems, professionals who understand and apply AI effectively will lead the next era of innovation. Whether you work in design, controls, construction, or facilities, this presentation will equip you with the insight and clarity needed to take action and lead confidently in an AI driven future. |
