Bryan E. Johnson- Principal, Director of Health Care, Capital Engineering Consultants Mr. Johnson, BS in Economics from SDSU and MBA from UC Davis, has been involved in the leadership of Capital Engineering Consultants since joining the firm and is a Principal and the Director of Health Care. He has over 30 years experience in a broad array of project types but has focused on the Healthcare Market throughout his career. He is LEED-trained on accepted energy and environmental principles that strike a balance between known effective practices and emerging concepts. He is also very involved with implementation and use of BIM / 3D and coordination methods both within CECI and within project Teams. Bryan served on the Lean Construction Institute (LCI), Northern Chapter Board of Advisors for several years and is currently co-chairmen of the LCI, Northern California Branch. Bryan is a champion of utilizing highly collaborative Teams to support delivery methods such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Design Build. His involvement in the community seeks to forward the continuous improvement and development of these project delivery methods as well has enhanced Project Team performance of all project delivery methods. Topic Introduction The US Healthcare Market is in the midst of a construction boom. Changing demographics, increased competition and aging infrastructure are creating the need for large scale growth in the industry. Today’s technologies in design and implementation make the modern healthcare facility an excellent study in optimized, integrated construction and operation.
