| Presentation Summary |
In response to the Montreal and Kyoto Protocols, Roche initiated a corporate-wide program starting in 1993 to address the depletion of the ozone layer and Global Warming. The corporate program, titled Directive K6, is focused on eliminating the use of CFC’s, HCFC’s, HFC’s, and other chemicals that are harmful to the environment. As a member of the Roche Group, Genentech is now aggressively implementing these efforts across all Genentech sites with a target completion date of 2022. Cassie will present some of the projects that have come out of the directive, including the use of natural refrigerants and evaporative cooling. |
